What do we expect from you?

  • Bachelor’s degree in Mechan­i­cal or Aero­space Engi­neer­ing, or an equiv­a­lent degree in a relat­ed field
  • Good knowl­edge of struc­tur­al and ther­mal analy­sis meth­ods
  • Famil­iar­i­ty with space indus­try stan­dards (ECSS and MIL) for man­u­fac­tur­ing and test­ing
  • Knowl­edge of mechan­i­cal design prin­ci­ples for elec­tron­ic com­po­nents and assem­blies
  • High lev­el of enthu­si­asm and ini­tia­tive, com­bined with a strong team spir­it and the abil­i­ty to col­lab­o­rate effec­tive­ly on large-scale projects
  • Resilience, self-con­fi­dence and the abil­i­ty to work inde­pen­dent­ly
  • Excel­lent ver­bal and writ­ten com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills in Eng­lish; pro­fi­cien­cy in Ger­man is an advan­tage

What are your responsibilities?

  • Devel­op­ment of 3D mod­els of com­po­nents and assem­blies using Inven­tor or Solid­Works
  • Prepa­ra­tion of accu­rate 2D draw­ings includ­ing dimen­sions, tol­er­ances, and man­u­fac­tur­ing notes
  • Per­form­ing 2D tol­er­ance stack-up analy­ses for sub-assem­blies using spread­sheets or man­u­al cal­cu­la­tions
  • Cre­ation, main­tain­ing and review­ing of tech­ni­cal doc­u­ments such as MICDs, test pro­ce­dures, and spec­i­fi­ca­tions
  • Updat­ing mod­els and draw­ings based on design reviews, test results, and stake­hold­er feed­back
  • Selec­tion of appro­pri­ate mate­ri­als for com­po­nents and prepa­ra­tion of doc­u­men­ta­tion for man­u­fac­tur­ing han­dover
  • Main­tain­ing accu­rate Bill of Mate­ri­als (BOMs) and part num­ber­ing sys­tems
  • Close col­lab­o­ra­tion with senior engi­neers, man­u­fac­tur­ing, and qual­i­ty teams
