Hardware Engineer Aerospace

DSI Aerospace GmbH develops innovative hardware and software solutions and computer technologies for space applications. Our hardware and software are flying as part of prominent space programs such as ExoMars (Mars mission) and JUICE (Jupiter mission). What do we expect from you?

  • Uni­ver­si­ty degree in Elec­tri­cal Engi­neer­ing, Aero­space Engi­neer­ing or a com­pa­ra­ble edu­ca­tion
  • At least 5 years of pro­fes­sion­al expe­ri­ence in the field of cir­cuit design, com­mis­sion­ing and trou­bleshoot­ing, tak­ing into account ECSS or oth­er stan­dards, prefer­ably in the aero­space sec­tor
  • Pro­fi­cient in using mea­sure­ment instru­ments (e.g. oscil­lo­scope)
  • Expe­ri­ence with Altium Design­er, Spice tools, JTAG debug­ging and basic C pro­gram­ming skills is a plus
  • Proac­tive­ness, enthu­si­asm and con­fi­dence
  • Capa­ble of work­ing both inde­pen­dant­ly and in a team on large projects
  • Good ver­bal and writ­ten com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills in Eng­lish and prefer­ably also in Ger­man

What are your responsibilities?

  • Devel­op­ment of dig­i­tal and ana­logue cir­cuits for mass mem­o­ry units, on board com­put­ers and instru­ment con­trol units
  • Prepa­ra­tion of analy­sis doc­u­ments, e.g. WCA, der­at­ing, reli­a­bil­i­ty and pow­er
  • Require­ment engi­neer­ing and close co-work­man­ship with the sys­tems engi­neer­ing
  • Per­form­ing of sim­u­la­tions for cir­cuit parts using tools such as PSpice, LT Spice or Math­Cad
  • Schemat­ics and option­al PCB lay­out with up to 18 lay­ers using Altium Design­er
  • (EEE) com­po­nent selec­tion for dif­fer­ent mod­els e.g. EM/EQM/PFM/FM
  • Ini­tial oper­a­tion and com­mis­sion­ing of devel­oped cir­cuits
  • Spec­i­fi­ca­tion and exe­cu­tion of elec­tri­cal and option­al envi­ron­men­tal test pro­ce­dures
