Hardware Engineer for High Speed Designs [PRJ]

DSI Aerospace GmbH develops innovative hardware and software solutions and computer technologies for space applications. Our products are flying as part of prominent space programs such as JUICE (Jupiter mission), Gateway (lunar space station) and Copernicus (Earth observation program). Since 1997, our steadily-growing international team has been producing high-performance, customer-specific and dependable solutions.

We are looking for skilled and motivated colleagues who are passionate about developing high-quality and elegant hardware engineering solutions for the leading European satellite missions.

What do we expect from you?

  • Uni­ver­si­ty degree in Elec­tri­cal Engi­neer­ing, Aero­space Engi­neer­ing or a com­pa­ra­ble qual­i­fi­ca­tion
  • At least 5 years of pro­fes­sion­al expe­ri­ence in cir­cuit design, ide­al­ly with­in the aero­space sec­tor
  • Strong exper­tise in cicuit design, PCB design as a plus
  • Expe­ri­ence with Altium Design­er and Spice sim­u­la­tion tools is an advan­tage
  • High lev­el of enthu­si­asm, ini­tia­tive and strong team spir­it
  • Abil­i­ty to col­lab­o­rate effec­tive­ly in large-scale projects
  • Resilience, con­fi­dence and the abil­i­ty to work inde­pen­dent­ly
  • Excel­lent ver­bal and writ­ten com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills in Eng­lish and prefer­ably also in Ger­man

What are your responsibilities?

  • Devel­op and design of high speed and dig­i­tal elec­tron­ics includ­ing
    • Pro­gram­ma­ble log­ics and proces­sors, like FPGAs and CPUs
    • Mem­o­ries, like DDR, SRAM, MRAM and Flash
    • Exter­nal Inter­faces, like SpaceWire, Wiz­ardLink, Mil-Std-1553 Bus, RS422, UART, JTAG
  • Select suit­able (EEE) parts for var­i­ous mod­els
  • Dri­ve require­ments engi­neer­ing in close col­lab­o­ra­tion with Sys­tems Engi­neer­ing
  • Pre­pare detailed block dia­grams and cir­cuit schemat­ics using Altium Design­er
  • Con­duct analy­ses such as worst case, der­at­ing, reli­a­bil­i­ty and pow­er
  • Per­form cir­cuit sim­u­la­tions with tools such as PSpice or LTSpice
  • Sup­port pro­to­typ­ing, bring-up and com­mis­sion­ing of devel­oped cir­cuits
  • Devel­op and doc­u­ment elec­tri­cal test pro­ce­dures
  • Con­tribute to design reviews and sup­port par­al­lel project activ­i­ties
