DevOps Engineer

DSI Aerospace GmbH develops innovative hardware and FPGA/software solutions and computer technologies for space applications. Our products are flying as part of prominent space programs such as JUICE (Jupiter mission), Gateway (lunar space station) and Copernicus (Earth observation program). Since 1997, our steadily-growing international team has been producing high-performance, customer-specific and dependable solutions.

What do we expect from you?

  • Degree in Com­put­er Sci­ence or equiv­a­lent qual­i­fi­ca­tion
  • Pas­sion for FOSS and Lin­ux, as well as Win­dows Server/Client and Active Direc­to­ry
  • Good knowl­edge of and expe­ri­ence in using the C pro­gram­ming lan­guage and com­mon script­ing lan­guages such as Bash, Python, PHP and in-depth data­base exper­tise
  • Good knowl­edge of net­work tech­nolo­gies (IP, rout­ing, DHCP, DNS, LDAP/Kerberos, etc.)
  • Basic knowl­edge of soft­ware engi­neer­ing prin­ci­ples and process­es
  • Struc­tured and inde­pen­dent work­ing style, with a high sense of respon­si­bil­i­ty and qual­i­ty aware­ness
  • Expe­ri­ence in the field of ISO27001
  • Very good writ­ten Eng­lish skills and good spo­ken Eng­lish skills
  • Good writ­ten and spo­ken Ger­man skills

What are your responsibilities?

  • Pro­gram­ming tools and scripts to imple­ment agile devel­op­ment meth­ods
  • Eval­u­at­ing, intro­duc­ing and apply­ing inter­nal and exter­nal plat­forms and tools to increase the effi­cien­cy of the soft­ware infra­struc­ture
  • Automat­ing process­es along the entire IT val­ue chain (mon­i­tor­ing, release process, code analy­sis)
  • 1st- and 2nd-lev­el sup­port for our employ­ees
  • Pro­fes­sion­al doc­u­men­ta­tion of process­es
