Configuration Manager

DSI Aerospace GmbH develops innovative hardware and FPGA/software solutions and computer technologies for space applications.  Our hardware and FPGA/software are flying as part of prominent space programs such as ExoMars (Mars mission) and JUICE (Jupiter mission). Since 1997, our steadily-growing international team has been producing high-performance, customer-specific and dependable solutions.

What do we expect from you?

  • Low-Lev­el knowl­edge or inter­est in the field of elec­tron­ic prod­uct design is advan­ta­geous
  • Expe­ri­ence with doc­u­ment man­age­ment sys­tems as well as PLM and ver­sion con­trol tools (e.g., PTC Wind­chill, Git, Sub­ver­sion)
  • Knowl­edge of con­fig­u­ra­tion man­age­ment as well as prod­uct life­cy­cle man­age­ment and ver­sion con­trol tools is advan­ta­geous
  • Basic expe­ri­ence in deal­ing with stan­dards (Space: ECSS)
  • Abil­i­ty to work in a team but also inde­pen­dent­ly
  • Team­work, resilience and flex­i­bil­i­ty
  • Pro­fes­sion­al use of MS Office
  • Good com­mu­ni­ca­tion skills and at least inter­me­di­ate pro­fi­cien­cy in writ­ten and spo­ken Eng­lish and Ger­man

What are your responsibilities?

  • Imple­men­ta­tion of con­fig­u­ra­tion man­age­ment tasks
  • Project progress track­ing and main­te­nance of the con­fig­u­ra­tion man­age­ment data­base
  • Mon­i­tor­ing the devel­op­ment and con­struc­tion sta­tus of prod­ucts and, if nec­es­sary, mon­i­tor­ing non-con­for­mance process­es
  • Track­ing and con­trol­ling con­fig­u­ra­tion changes (change con­trol)
  • Cre­at­ing and main­tain­ing the asso­ci­at­ed doc­u­men­ta­tion
  • Ver­i­fi­ca­tion and audit­ing of the report­ed con­fig­u­ra­tion against the actu­al con­fig­u­ra­tion
